The Divine Meddler
By Susan LeDoux
This is a literary Christian thriller. While it is meant to keep the reader turning pages, the character arc is the focus of the story. It begins with a man, angry at God and the justice system, for allowing his daughter's killer to get away with his crime. Which he does, until the protagonist, Lou Skalney, stalks and kills the perpetrator. Telling the world he did it, would do it again, wins him death by lethal injection in Texas.
But instead of dying he awakens in a strange medieval style monastery full of monks and other murderers like himself. Does he come to terms with his past? Does he escape? Does he find redemption? And why do people disappear during the night?
