S.S. Duskey retired from law enforcement with over 20 years of experience. She resides in the Bitterroot Mountains of Montana with her husband, Steve. Sharon's inspirations for writing are her late canine companions, Saki and Rose, not to mention her adventures throughout her career.

As a dog lover, she wanted to pay homage to her fur babies. Instead of writing about dogs, she brings them to the human world. Most of the characters in her book are loosely based on Saki’s and Rose’s K-9 friends.

When she is not plotting mischief for her characters, Sharon enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and furry children in the outdoors of the beautiful Bitterroot.
