✭ I'm an Oklahoma girl gone south...halfway between Houston and the beautiful beaches of Galveston, Texas with my husband, teenage son, three dogs, and one hell-spawned cat. 〜 After my freshman year at the University of Oklahoma, I abandoned college life for a lucrative career in waitressing. One day—inspired by advice from family and an armed forces episode of Family Feud—I joined the Navy where, after two weeks of boot camp, I was diagnosed with a rare, incurable kidney disorder and honorably kicked out. 〜 Over the next two decades, I met and married my other half, Jeff…gave birth to our amazing son, Jack…and got a shiny new kidney from the best friend ever and now kid-sister, Robin. ♥ 〜 With this new chance at life, and an appreciation for everything and everyone around me, I rediscovered my passion for writing. I wrote and published my first novel...and now I'm writing its sequel!
Now writing is like breath to me. I've got so many stories filling up my to-write list.....I won't be putting down my pen until the day my own story comes to an end. ✭

Solitary Sky
My name is Lilah and this wasn't supposed to be my life.
I had to leave home immediately. Get far away as I could from the four walls I shared with my so-called mother.
I arrived in Gentian the day of my eighteenth birthday. To spend time with Gram, get through my Senior year, and graduate with my best friend, Val. My plans did not include weird, prophetic dreams...or falling for the guy in the starring role.
But when he walked straight out of those dreams I couldn't deny him. He was real...and in that moment everything changed. I was drawn deep and held firm by his gravity 〜 close enough to find out all his secrets. I should've walked away the minute I realized he was something more than human, but I couldn't.
I knew nothing of the darker secrets he kept hidden. Secrets that might take away everything I never asked for...but now I can't be without.
Secrets that I'm terrified will end the life I'm just beginning to live.
