Robert C Littlewood was born in Catford in the Borough of Lewisham, London. He emigrated to Australia with his family arriving in 1964 initially in Perth, Western Australia.
After attaining a Bachelor of Education at Murdoch University in 1992he worked as a state schoolteacher for a number of years before leaving teaching to take up other interests.
With a deep and abiding love for the genres of science fiction and fantasy, he decided, like one of his literary heroes, CS Lewis, that he wanted to write the kind of novel he would like to read himself. Having finished his debut novel 'Deviance', the first in 'The Balance Wars' trilogy, he is currently completing Book 2 'Convergence'.
Robert is married with three grown children and resides in Bunbury in the south west of Western Australia.

Deviance Book 1 The Balance Wars
On the remote world of Tarvuli the mighty Graaven Empire has fallen into ruin destroyed by an alien force whose very presence threatens cosmic balance.
‘Menkh Ab Dur’ deposed Emperor, last and greatest Graaven general has fled the capital along with warriors of the élite Imperial Guard and Graaven refugees, in an effort to escape the holocaust.
Relentlessly pursued by those they have christened the ‘Dorath Mar’ Menkh himself is dying from a malignant growth which is steadily invading his body. The Graavens stand on the brink of racial annihilation.
Against all odds Menkh is aided by the symbiote ‘Crixac’ harnessing the power of the ‘City’, a long-abandoned source of great power.
Unseen cosmic forces move. The ‘Intelligence’ seeks to reset the ‘balance’ and Menkh and Crixac must journey on a quest to restore the full strength of the crystal which powers the City. The invader must be eradicated lest the City, and the secrets it contains, be used as a weapon for the domination of all life.
Convergence Book 2 The Balance Wars
The Dorath Mar have been defeated and the Graaven people are safe, but the defeat of their nemesis on the world of Tarvuli only serves to reveal the true enemy and power that is the creative force and source of the Dorath Mar’s evil.
Before continuing their perilous quest Menkh ab Dur, aided by Tishan Dar, must activate an ancient and powerful defence to protect the word of Tarvuli from the might of the enemy and its followers.
With aid from the adepts who guard the Balancepoint, Menkh and Crixac will journey across the cosmos in order to defeat the enemy and its minions lest chaos reign supreme.
On Tarvuli, Tishan Dar faces a new threat from across the Great Water. The Xotic, friends and allies of the Graaven call for aid against new and brutal invaders and Tishan must deploy the might of the City to protect all that the Graavens hold dear.
Events begin to converge towards an unknowable conclusion as the Graavens face further threats and battle a new foe whilst the quest of Menkh ab Dur and the symbiote Crixac to reset cosmic ‘Balance’ continues in Book 2 of the Balance Wars.
