Brandon Bowmore is a suburban Australian intellectual. Just ask him. He'd like to think that in another place and time he'd be Lord Byron, but alas it's Brisbane in the 1970s and 80s.
Neither he nor best friend Paddy 'fit in', but Brandon especially is ill-equipped for the realities and frustrations of the "real world". Their stories are by turns funny, wry, and poignant as each comes to terms with their own small triumphs, big disappointments, and inevitable compromises.
