Raised in the 70's, and would love to rock those clothes again but my mom gave up sewing! My childhood was filled with playing outside barefoot with the neighborhood friends, riding bikes, roller skating, running along the beach and inhaling a combination of salt air and surfing wax.
I ate peanut butter jelly's with Fritos corn chips and homemade hot cooked dinners, we rarely had meals outside the home. I woke to a Vinyl playing in the living room something from The Righteous Brothers, CCR, or the Beach Boys. Every day walking through the beads and bamboo that hung in the entry way as part of the homes décor and out into the world to laugh, sweat in the Texas heat and get a sticker bur or two.
My parents both worked, part of what they did and enjoyed is also part of my internal make up as my mother had numerous jobs and my dad was in one way to put it a Sheepdog. Both raised kids instilling love and respect and responsibility. The house was never dirty, we always had good food to eat. I was loud, brave and funny at home and with friends but I was quiet and meek in school and with my teachers. I was that way until High School when I blossomed more outward.
I would say my blossom is likened to a the Lotus, that is my spirit flower. Like the Lotus I am resilient and thick skinned. Which means I can take on much weight and still stand with several purposes, I am also relied upon by many as well as I take time to rejuvenate and restore. I may be in conditions challenging to other flowers, but I was built to serve and last. Fighting against all odds I stand pretty. Obstacles will try to overtake me, but my spirit grows deep, colorful and I stand out.
I had some unpleasant childhood experiences in 4 schools I attended from grades 4-8 that I believe help mold me to who I developed into. I'd say character building was the result and that along with a foundation of good principles I am who I am today. I do accept that room for improvement is for all and I too am open for new learning and meaningful experiences.
I look back see achievements, and look on at combined continued endeavors, loves and passions, it's thrilling to be alive and engaged in my world I create and experience with others.
Who I am is also a mother, grandmother, wife, Master Martial Artist, Certified Holistic Wellness Coach, Insurance Broker, Foodie, Writer (I have kept a writing journal since age 6), Author, appreciate music, pretend I know the violin and secretly a drummer.
Fun fact, I collect postcards! I wind down by watching a movie. I start back in am with exercise and some sort of martial arts to keep my reflexes & of course my nunchakus skills up to date!
I love children and love to read to them. I currently have 3 published children's books, and much more in the works (all genres). I have kept a writing journal since age 6 (that's another fun fact about me). I have much work to do and a passion to share it all.

Super Love

The story written in the eyes of the child shares the little things that make up the big picture. The activities the children enjoy in life are great but it is the action of love that means the most!
This sweet book is filled with realistic and fun illustrations. I collaborated with Annah Ladewig, artist, who used my real photos and added her artistic flair along with emotional heart shapes, that we both created so that littles, parents and grandparents can all relate to and adore!
