Scapes

Scapes won the 2011 Edward Eakin Memorial Poetry Award, presented by the Poetry Society of Texas. Scapes is a compilation of 56 of Baldwin’s poems. Scapes is divided into four sections: Landscapes, Heartscapes, Mindscapes, and Soulscapes.
Baldwin’s work has been published in a number of poetry journals such as "Commonweal," "Louisiana Literature," "Touchstone," and "New Texas." An issue of "Illya's Honey" containing his poems was nominated for the Pushcart Prize. He won the Violet Newton Poetry Prize in 2000 and his poetry has been featured on the national radio show, "The Romantic Hours." Baldwin is a longtime member of the Poetry Society of Texas and is a member of Texas' oldest poetry organization, The Fort Worth Poetry Society. Scapes’ cover and 4 interior illustrations are by Baldwin’s friend, artist Johnny Bowen.
