My poem "Samoa, October" won a competition to feature in the Almanac 2023 from Candlestick Press. It’s placed on a page facing D.H. Lawrence, which was a wonderful surprise as Bert has been a good friend for many years. The Almanac 2023 gives equal space to new poets and established names, each with something memorable and evocative to say about a particular month.
