I grew up in Dartford, Kent, in the UK, before moving to South Africa in my late twenties, where I met my husband. We spent thirteen memorable years up in Chingola, Zambia, ran a guest house in the Winelands of South Africa for five years, where I served guests breakfast in the morning and wrote my books late at night, and we are now settled in the Garden Route in South Africa. We live in the beautiful town of George, nestled between the Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean, with our two cats. I've had a lifelong love affair with words - reading them and writing them - inspirational favourites being Agatha Christie and Ruth Rendell. When I'm not writing, I might well be found walking on one of the many beautiful beaches in the area (or curled up on the couch with a book).

Village Lies: A Gripping English Village Murder Mystery (The Sasha Blue Mystery Series Book 1)

One English Country Village - Two Missing Girls - Three Dead Bodies (so far…) – And loads of Poison Pen Letters
Sasha Blue’s life is far from perfect – too many late nights, too much wine and pizza, and bad luck with men. As she scrapes a living solving missing dog cases and bad hair days, she dreams of one day opening her own detective agency.
When her niece goes missing in the English village of Parva Crossing, Sasha leaves London, and books herself into the local pub to put her detective skills to the test, with the help of attractive local artist, Cal.
Quaint and pretty at first glance, Parva Crossing, sliced in two by the Black River, has a darker underbelly of hidden secrets and lies, madness, crime, misunderstandings, and even murder.
Among its varied residents, Dorothy Newton spends her time spying on her neighbours from her windows, while her husband, George, worries obsessively about his elderly mother, all alone in her cottage. Mrs Pringle runs the local chemist, providing a running commentary on village scandals, not that she’s a gossip, mind… while Barbara Fenton sits alone in her garden, at night, seeking the bottom of a vodka bottle.
Sasha is determined to uncover the truth behind the cruel poison pen letters that someone is sending, and in doing so, finds out secrets that some residents thought were hidden for good. But would they stoop to murder to keep their past a secret? And why does it seem that two different people are sending the letters? Will the poisonous letters lead her and the police to her missing niece? And who keeps dumping bodies in the Black River? Does the village have more than one killer, or is there a serial killer in their midst?
Murder, mystery, romance, and light humour all weave their way through this psychological crime suspense thriller, as village lives are changed forever.
Introducing Sasha Blue, London’s newest wannabe detective. Single (often), mid-thirties, and flawed, she’s many women’s relatable heroine. Village Lies is book one in The Sasha Blue Mystery Series and is followed by Graphic Lies.
Although each book may be read as a standalone there are ongoing connections between the stories which make them more enjoyable when read as a series.

Old Lies: A Traditional English Murder Mystery Whodunit (The Sasha Blue Mystery Series Book 3)

Who killed Dorothy Newton?

It’s been said that everyone has something to hide, and the residents of Meadowvale retirement home, on the outskirts of the village of Parva Crossing, are no exception, and neither, perhaps, are some of the relatives or staff...

But could one of them be a murderer?

This is the question that Sasha Blue, private investigator, asks herself as she leaves London behind and heads back to the quaint English village of Parva Crossing, in her hunt for a killer.

Newly engaged to on-off boyfriend, Eric, Sasha is conflicted about her feelings, especially when she resumes residence at The Spotted Dog pub, only to find that Cal, the man she’d developed feelings for during her last visit, has also returned.
The residents of Meadowvale are an eclectic bunch – a writer, a retired accountant, a pair of spinster sisters both vying for the attentions of an eligible, if somewhat elderly, bachelor, a matriarchal figure obsessed with her granddaughter’s society wedding, a fluttery romantic engaged to a fellow resident, and an ex-florist – and Sasha finds herself becoming increasingly fond of them as she immerses herself into their lives, both past and present.

But everybody lies…

Sasha must investigate old lives, and uncover old lies, in order to discover why Dorothy Newton was murdered, and is certain that the answer lies within the clues that Dorothy has left behind, hidden in the most extraordinary of places, but her investigation is complicated by the suspicion that there is someone in the village who wishes her harm, or possibly more than one person…

Secrets, greed, love affairs, both old and new, a good dose of mystery, another murder (or is that two?), and light humour, all weave their way through this traditional English whodunit where, it begins to seem to Sasha, just about anyone could be the killer…

Old Lies is book three in The Sasha Blue Mystery Series and readers of the series will be delighted to be reunited with some of the much-loved characters from book one, Village Lies. Old Lies is inspired by the author’s great love for Agatha Christie and her hugely enjoyable crime stories.
Although each book may be read as a standalone there are ongoing connections between the stories which make them more enjoyable when read as a series.

Nocturnal Lies: A Gripping British Murder Mystery Thriller with a Twist (The Sasha Blue Mystery Series Book 4)

‘There’s so much blood… it’s everywhere… you’ve got to help me…’
Why was Eric Latimer in a hotel room in Kensington? Where did the escort come from? And more to the point – who killed her?
London’s nightlife has a dark and deadly side and it seems that high-class call girls are in danger from a ruthless killer. Or are things not quite as they seem?
Eric’s frantic phone call to Sasha in the early hours of the morning prompts her to rush back to London to his aid, leaving Parva Crossing and some unfinished personal business behind.
All the evidence points to Eric having killed the woman, identified as a high-class escort, but he swears that he is innocent. What really happened at Bar Simone in Soho, the night Eric and his friends drank themselves into oblivion? Why do so many of his friends have alibis for each other? And who is the man that street prostitutes are calling The Cutter?
The next murder, in Soho, leaves the media and public in no doubt that there is a serial killer on the loose – one blogger has even given him a name – The Street Cleaner.
As Sasha delves deeper into the murders, she discovers puzzling similarities between the first escort’s murder and other cases, but the police aren’t convinced and her investigation is being hampered by factors beyond her control.
Battling personal problems and chaos in her life, she turns to her friend Zoe for help and refuge, but Zoe is concerned at just how far Sasha might be prepared to go to prove Eric’s innocence.
Has the killer come up with the perfect plan to get away with murder? Or can Sasha find her way through the smoke and mirrors to get to the truth… and save the man she once planned to marry?
Nocturnal Lies is a gripping British crime novel packed with murder, mystery, twists and turns. The page-turning suspense builds in a tension-fuelled race against time through the streets of Soho to catch a serial killer, as undercover exploits end in more than one devastating outcome. What had Sasha missed in her investigation? It had been right there all the time… but it took her friend to speak to her from beyond the grave to show her the shocking truth about the murders… and to set her on a frantic scramble to try to catch the serial killer in the act and prevent another murder…
Nocturnal Lies is the fourth book in the Sasha Blue Mystery Series. Although each book may be read as a standalone there are ongoing connections between the stories which make them more enjoyable when read as a series.

Revenge Plan: A Domestic Psychological Thriller

‘I never thought that anyone would end up dead.’

Abigail. Lauren. Emma. Hayley. Fiona. Jenna. Claire. Seven best friends. But one night something bad happened… and they made a bad plan…

‘It was just another drunken girls’ night, one of so many over the years, but that night was the catalyst for everything bad that happened afterwards. As we threw back shots, laughed, and posed for photos, we had no idea what was about to happen in the near future, or how our lives would be changed forever.

‘We’d met at the school gates, young mothers dropping off our kids outside the local primary school, but fast forward a couple of decades or so and we were empty nesters with too much time on our hands.

‘We were bored housewives attempting to recapture a youth that existed only in our memories, desperate to show the world that we were still relevant, still attractive, still worthy of attention – which we sought with every photo posted by one or the other of us on our various social media pages.

‘It was around this time that someone mentioned a dating app they were on. I suppose that’s when it all really started…’

A character-driven, slow burn, domestic psychological crime thriller that picks up the pace as events begin to spiral out of control, with devastating consequences.

The first-person narrative is told from Abigail’s perspective, and is written in British English.

Revenge Plan is the debut standalone psychological thriller from the author of the Sasha Blue Mystery series.
