First and foremost, I would much rather learn about you than talk about me. What about me? It’s complicated, but here is a tiny capsule of information. I was born in Upstate New York. I left Upstate in my late teens. After living in California, I attended college in Boston, Mass and completed master’s and doctoral studies in New York City. I worked as an Industrial & Organizational Psychologist for many years. Research was my focus. I now live in the Washington, DC area with my husband and our corgi, Benny.

From early childhood, I created stories and characters. I did not write them down. I had no idea I was a writer. I played dress up and acted out characters.

I got caught up in day-to-day life--going to school, forging a career. Writing to me consisted of crafting research reports. However, the urge to tell stories never left me. Writing beckoned. When I had more time, I took a couple of writing courses; one in particular helped me remove the barrier between wanting to write and actually writing. The course taught me structure.

I have published two volumes in the Domino Series (paperback, Kindle, audio): The Hexe and The Ghost of Kellytch Hall. Both are available on Amazon.com. Search for The Adventures of Domino Corgi.

Volume 3, The Curse of Old Chief Cave, will be published in May 2022 (paperback, Kindle, audio).

Volume 4, The Mystery of Witch Hat (working title) is currently under development.

Marketing remains the big issue for me. I focus my energies on writing. However, I need to address the marketing issue more vigorously so that people know about my books--and buy them.

The Hexe

Welcome to the adventures of Domino corgi—a reluctant evil fighter--and his human and animal friends. The Hexe is the non-stop action adventure introducing Domino corgi as he battles against inexperience and time to save Brewster Farm from destruction by a wicked witch spirit known as The Hexe.

Wild weather. Eerie sounds. Strange sightings. Weird accidents. The clueless humans sigh “that’s Brewster Gap.”The animals, though, know plenty. The problem is they don’t know what to do—that is, until Domino arrives.

And just who is Domino? A lot of things. A pampered puppy. An orphan. A runaway. A shelter dog. And now, the new dog at Brewster Farm. The farm animals—convinced Domino is their rescuer, their hero—demand fast action on ridding them of The Hexe, an angry, resentful creature who hates change. And change rushing headlong at the dusty, forgotten farm—unleashes The Hexe’s destructive rage.

Domino hardly knows what it means to be a corgi let alone battle The Hexe. The animals insist the corgi was sent by Mother Nature—after all he arrived under a double rainbow—means nothing to the corgi. Can Domino—who has no idea what or who he is--overcome his inexperience and uncertainty to save Brewster Farm?

The Ghost of Kellytch Hall

See where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can. (Arthur Ashe)

Fast-paced. A fun read with lots to think about. The Ghost of Kellytch Hall, the second book in The Domino Series, has it all. A ghost! An adventure story about the sea travels of a young girl to China. A black-hearted villain. Animals working hard to protect their human friends although the humans do not know it.

The tale is so astonishing that it takes two stories to tell it.The first story is about the mysterious Louis Kellytch who lived in Brewster Gap many years ago. Kellytch’s presence was more felt than seen while he was alive. Reclusive and secretive, he dwelled in the shadows behind the scenes. But make no mistake, his all-consuming pursuit of power made life a misery for many people in Brewster Gap. His home, Kellytch Hall, is now a dilapidated, abandoned, boarded-up mansion on land owned by Brewster College.

You may wonder how Domino gets involved with the troubles at Kellytch Hall. You will need to read the story to find out the details.

The second story is about Alva Brewster, the founder of Brewster College. She wrote a journal in a strange code that was difficult, but not impossible, to crack. Once the journal was decoded, an amazing story of her childhood emerged. She wrote extensively about her early years in Brewster Gap, her unforgettable sea voyage to China, the friends she made in Shanghai, and how she became entangled with Louis Kellytch.
