Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Jess Lohmann, writer for the animals, learned to respect nature in a busy environment.

She worked as a vet’s assistant and caretaker during high school and college at the University of South Carolina where she received her BBA in Marketing.

In 1995, her move to Germany opened up many opportunities.

Following a successful stint in the corporate world, Jess left to answer her own ‘call of the wild’.

Now, as a voice talent and founder of Ethical Brand Marketing, she uses all her creative talents and never runs out of ideas to help save species and inspire others to adapt a deep ecological philosophy.

She's a contributor for Entrepreneur Europe and RAIDBOXES and writes about non-manipulative marketing strategies that help consumers make a conscious choice so that we enable cleaner supply chains and curb excessive and environmentally destructive consumerism.

In April 2021, she was awarded Most Socially-Conscious Marketing Strategist 2021 – Germany from the AI Business Excellence Awards 2021.

The death of her parents inspired Jess to write about what they taught her and what she is most passionate about: to respect all animals.

On April 24, 2019, World Day for Laboratory Animals, she published 'Lily Bowers and the Uninvited Guest', the first of an eco-fantasy series that shows kids they have the power and influence to change the world. And save animals.

On December 10, 2020, International Animal Rights Day, she published the German version, 'Lily Bowers und der ungebetene Gast'. The Polish version, 'Lily Bowers i Nieproszony Gość', will be published by the end of 2021.

To help protect animals and our environment, Jess is a member of Doctors Against Animal Experiments, 1% of the Planet, Social Entrepreneur Network Germany (SEND) and supports other organizations. To strengthen her writing skills, she's also a proud member of Alliance of Independent Authors.

Lily Bowers and The Uninvited Guest

Ten-year-old Lily Bowers has an extraordinary gift – she can talk to animals.

So when Mother Nature herself is threatened by animal cruelty, only Lily can save her.

To do this, she must mobilize all her new animal friends in her beloved forest. The same forest where the Brothers Grimm once traveled.

But first, there’s a horrible bully at her new school to overcome.

And Lily knows she’ll need to call on all her courage to convince the rest of the world that nature must come first.
