Independent and feisty, she’s the life of the speakeasy. But the glitter and glamour can’t conceal her fears —she’s not worthy of the love of a good man. So why is Charlie hanging around?
Although Charlie Corrigan will always carry scars from the Great War, he’s finally ready to marry and start a family. But when he finds himself falling for a flamboyant flapper, he wonders if his scarred body and flat bank account can hold her interest. As his fortunes climb with the stock market, it seems he’s his luck in love has turned. But what happens when it all comes crashing down?
