Jeff Millard grew up in Australia and lives in Sydney where he has raised his two sons. As a child, Jeff was a true adventurer, travelling to all parts of the world, having great and exciting escapades… all from the end of his trusty bed.
An extremely active corporate career enabled Jeff to travel extensively. Travel continues to fuel his natural curiosity and to feed his love of learning and exploration. He is fascinated by different people, places and cultures and he champions diversity, tolerance and acceptance in society. Jeff is concerned with the world’s trajectory and understands the hurt caused by greed, intolerance and the apathy in how we treat each other and our planet.
Jeff delights in making up stories, telling jokes, writing poetry and song lyrics, playing music and singing. He believes that words have the ability to change the world and that change comes best through love, kindness and understanding. He feels strongly that it is the children of today who hold the key to a building a better tomorrow and he is passionate about sharing his learnings and life experiences to support his beliefs. This has culminated in this, his first book, “Your Magic World”.

Your Magic World is a work of love and optimism. Beautifully illustrated, we look at some poignant issues and explore various character traits. Through simple metaphor, our fascination is ignited and we explore the puzzle of the interconnection, individuality and diversity of the things in our lives.
At its simplest, Your Magic World is a children’s book for children. As we explore some deeper concepts of human nature, it becomes an adult’s book for children. Ultimately, as the story’s complexity is unveiled, it becomes a children’s book for adults. It portends an innocent clarity that urges adults to listen to the younger generations and to live up to the unwritten promise to protect the world for the future. It makes adults think!
