The Tale of the Tarot
Fifteen-year-old Melanie Simpson uncovers a secret her father held for twenty years--material smuggled from a crashed UFO near Roswell, New Mexico back in 1947. He is dead, killed by a Russian agent who was after the material. Now, she has it, and along with it, the interest of dangerous men and their organizations who want it.
She also uncovers that along with the material was a device given to her father by a dying alien. It remains hidden somewhere. In a letter from her father she learns of a quest, and that she must now finish what he could not.
She knows the device has something to do with it, and must find out where it is hidden. With the help of her boyfriend, Frankie, and friends, Beanie and Katch, she searches for clues, all while facing the dangers of those after the alien material. But it is during a tarot card reading from a family friend that she learns there is more... a destiny with the stars.
