When Kerri Bloodstone's estranged father dies unexpectedly in Anoka, Minnesota, she has to face the truth of her powers of electrical manipulation and return to her hometown for the funeral. There she meets her mysterious “uncle” Bryan for the first time who shows up out of the blue after Sera's own tragic suicide years earlier. Kerri starts questioning the circumstances around both deaths.

The secret council that has sworn to protect the Bloodstones for centuries knows that David was murdered, but doesn't grasp the full mystery behind their duty and the legends of ancient tunnels below the town.

Kerri’s is soon joined by her college best friend and roomate, Skyler, a power empath. David’s grieving fiancé, Molly reveals she was aware he feared being killed and vows to keep Kerri safe. As the claustrophobic community becomes increasingly dangerous for her, Kerri must uncover her true legacy before she loses everything, including her life.
