Born and lives in Birmingham, UK. I started my writing career by writing short stories for national magazines, including Woman’s Weekly, People’s Friend, Take a Break and, oddly, Motor Caravan World. I also ran a successful online blog, Brummie Blogs, for many years, and a weekly piece for the Sunday Mercury newspaper as Brummie Broad.

I've worked as a city centre secretary, personal assistant and 'temp', and utilise this vast experience in my writing (office staff of Birmingham, be afraid, be very afraid). I ran a transcription business at home for 16 years, before flinging caution to the wind to become a full-time writer.

TIPPING POINT is domestic comedy drama based very loosely on my working life. The PITCHING UP! series - PITCHING UP!, PITCHING UP AGAIN!, PITCHING UP IN STYLE! and PITCHING UP IN AMERICA!, with another due out shortly - are based on my enthusiasm for all things camping and caravanning.

Deborah Aubrey's books

My Mom's a Witch

Funny magical fantasy fiction for young adults that's ever so slightly bonkers

Tipping Point

Funny, sad and captivating – the struggles of marriage, family life and work, injected with a potent cocktail of sparkling humour. You'll love it.

Pitching Up!

First in a PITCHING UP! series of comedy camping fiction that you'll love.

A group of strangers pitching up on a Cotswold caravan site, looking for rest and relaxation but instead encountering starvation, sleep deprivation, dehydration, motorbikers, drunken yummy-mummies, the police, shredded feet, unexpected nakedness, curries, the great loo run, and a line dancing barbecue. Oh, and the creepy guy in a tent at the bottom of the field.

It was a camping trip like no other and it would change all their lives.

A charismatic cast of characters that you’ll fall in love with. It’s about friendship, the kindness of campers, and the heart-warming humour of people getting on each other’s nerves.

You’ll be so emotionally exhausted after reading this you’ll need a holiday to recover.

Pitching Up Again!

Sequel to the much-acclaimed and very funny Pitching Up!

The Woodsman pub and campsite is under new management, with new staff and improved facilities. The old gang, plus some additional characters, return by invitation to ‘check it out’, and the adventures begin; retaliating against marauding motorbikes in the middle of the night, enduring a bike tour to hell and back, watching Tel and Sophie jumping from a plane and witnessing Tel having some sort of nervous breakdown, fighting against the tyranny of Liv’s father and soon-to-be ex-husband, and almost losing a vastly expensive ring.

You can’t get much more memorable than a camping trip like this – perfect holiday reading.

Pitching Up in Style!

Rave reviews and 5-star ratings for PITCHING UP! and PITCHING UP AGAIN! This is the third book in the Pitching Up! series.

The camping gang are back together and someone’s getting married, in a big house, with lots of guests and lots of chaos. Interfering mothers, a nervous breakdown, miniature meals, revolting guests in both senses of the word, a curry run with a difference, and sleeping in the great outdoors:

And then there’s Richard!

Funny, emotional, and a whirlwind of delightful celebration.

Pitching Up in America!

Rave reviews and 5-star ratings for PITCHING UP!, PITCHING UP AGAIN! and PITCHING UP IN STYLE! This is the fourth book in the Pitching Up! series.

Ian Flemmingway, the ‘creepy guy’ from Pitching Up!, has written a book about their Cotswolds escapades and its being turned into a film! The campers are invited to Las Vegas, to the film set, all expenses paid … but not all is as it seems.

This is armchair travelling at its finest, with plenty of laughs, lots of camping chaos, and a few surprises. You’ll feel like you’ve taken the journey with them.
