Ash, a 13-year-old boy, was abandoned as a baby; he never knew his real parents. Ash and his adoptive father get into a quarrel one day, leading to them finding out that Ash can conjure purple lightning. Ash runs away where he is found by someone else with similar abilities.

He is taken to a mysterious island called Asmaria, where Ash learns of an entire society of people who are seemingly chosen at random to be gifted with elemental magic.

Secrets of Ash's past, of his birth parents, and the mystery surrounding their disappearance, come into the light. A dark figure rises, threatening the Asmarian's way of life. The fate of their home hangs in the balance, and Ash and his new friends must work together to stop the forces of evil.
