Prospering under its young rulers, the empire’s security is shattered by a strange report from south of the kobay lands. An immense shadow, dark enough to block out the sun, is moving toward the empire, and their greatest weapon against the darkness, the iether, seems ineffective. How can they fight such an immaterial enemy? To complicate the matter, a mysterious girl, whose understanding of the world is vastly different from their own, has suddenly appeared near a kobay village, running from a fear she refuses to speak of.
