Lily of the Valley

As the second world war rages and the bombs drop on London Lily, a serious sad person meets Ted and Winnie during her work as a nurse. They are drawn to her and befriend her wanting to see a real smile light up her face with their strong sense of humour. She finds comfort with them as she is alone except for her other friend, a neighbour who has problems of her own. Lily is worried about her husband in the RAF who she hasn't heard from for a while. She overhears a sinister conversation between two porters at the hospital. One of them sees her and threatens her to stay out of it. Who are they and why is it so important that she keep her mouth shut.
