Previously a journalist with a major Scottish newspaper and a national magazine in London, Allison then spent some wild years as a TV Publicist. Returning to her twin loves of Edinburgh and Storytelling, Allison has had multiple short stories published and selected as Editor’s Picks by Toasted Cheese and East of The Web . She has also contributed works to two short story anthologies, Tolerance and Autumn, through her involvement in Transcendent Authors, a group of international authors who found common inspiration from these themes.
Her debut novel, The Life I Owe Her - a domestic suspense thriller - is due for publication in April 2023 across multiple platforms.

Tolerance: A Collection of Short Stories
Early fall 2020 ten authors met at an online meeting site for the first time, over a glass of wine. The idea of an anthology was born.
Together, we compiled this anthology to resemble an old 45 RPM vinyl record, with an A and B side. The 'A' side stories are all based on the theme, "Tolerance." Whereas side 'B' are tales straight from the hearts of the authors.
Both sides, like those records of old, are a banquet of entertainment for the reader. So sit back with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee, put your feet up, get comfy, and prepare to enjoy the feast.
Autumn: An Anthology (1) (Seasons)
"Autumn - an anthology" is a collection of short stories from ten writers, some new, some veterans. They will make you laugh, perhaps cry, even have chills crawl up your spine.
This first entry, in a four-part series dedicated to the seasons, focuses on the time of year that ushers in rest from the heat of the beating sun, pumpkin spice, sweater weather, back-to-school days, and the start of some of our favorite holidays.
The Life I Owe Her
How far would you go to repay a debt to the friend who saved your life?
What if the thing she wants is your child?
Ava and Sylvie forged a friendship that sustained them both as teenagers. But when their high school prom night almost turns to tragedy, Sylvie saves Ava from drowning and their friendship takes on an even deeper meaning. Ava is haunted by a need to repay the debt of life she owes to her best friend.
But, years later, the opportunity comes knocking and Ava is faced with the chance to make the ultimate sacrifice for a friend whose life is torn apart by infertility. As the consequences of their actions unfold, the lives of both women are threatened by an adversary who will stop at nothing to keep control of his family.
