I believe in the conservation of nature, and in 1993, while living in Barcelona, Spain, I wrote and illustrated my first book, "Buku and Nature". I incorporated as Ediciones Ipse, S.L. and published it under a pseudonym in English, Spanish and Catalan.

"Buku and Nature" allowed extensive personalization to engage children further. In 1994 it was exhibited at the International Children's' Book Fair in Bologna, Italy, and before Christmas, it was featured on national TV as one of the five best books for children that year.

Since I wrote "Buku and Nature", our planet's environment has continued to degrade. Our children and grandchildren will have to carry this burden, and I am working on a new book to help them understand, from an early age, that they have the responsibility of playing an active part in the conservation of nature.
