I have been writing since a young age and graduated as a literary translator in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Whilst working as a translator from English into Spanish in the UK, I also worked in the theatre and briefly delved into documentary making. I have written for both theatre and film, and my works include both prose and poetry.
After graduation I travelled to Spain and worked as a translator with the newspaper El País. During that time I joined the Brazilian theatre company Arte Livre do Brasil. I travelled with the company for three years on tour with the play Olhares de Perfil (Sideways Glance) which I co-wrote with director Roberto Cordovani. The play won a Special Fringe First Award in Edinburgh Festival in 1988 and took part in international theatre festivals throughout Europe.

I moved to London in 1989, where I produced and directed documentaries with First Take before dedicating myself fully to writing whilst working as a translator.

I have been living and working in Brighton since April 2009.

Eco-feminist dystopian novel The Vatican Games is my fifth novel and my first in English.

I’m currently working on my first poetry book in English.
